BIDDIES! Wow... I finally figured out how this works lol Im new at blogging so this is my first post ever :P
It is so much fun reading what everyone has been up too! And it is so great to see people having these new experiences around the world and even close to home. I was going to stay in Gloucester for the summer and work a local job, but then small hours for small coffee shop jobs were only available, roommates were going home for the summer, and going back home to FL to work was sounding more and more desirable lol So I packed up the apartment and left :) Im working for an amazing company that I bought my own individual storefront for. With residual income it participates and is at the forefront of the deregulation of energy and merchant services along with all technical services that will literally be the largest shift of wealth to happen ever in the world....Ahh I could go on for days but I wont lol Anyway I love my job and I am so excited to be part of it and during the best time! It is global, and I will be continuing it through school and for years to come so if anyone is interested let me know and I can get you some info ;)
I went to LA for the first time in June! (Chelsea and Krystal territory;) I have to say that one thing Cali has on Florida is the lack of humidity! lol Was so beautiful. I was there for an international conference along with 30,000 people from around the world who are in the same business. I didn't get to travel outside the city though so I cant wait to go back and maybe visit Santa Barbara ;)
I took an online class for Media and Society with Baxter for the past month. Still waiting to hear back about my grade! Its taking so long! I am switching my major from Kinesiology to Communications this upcoming year and am really excited that I have found my niche (3 majors later lol)
Nick and I have been dating 14 months now:) Has been such an amazing year with this kid and I cant wait for the future. Feel so blessed to have met him. I invited him to come up to Ontario, Canada to meet my extended family for a week at a lake cottage and it went so well! I learned how to wake surf with a surfboard behind the boat and it was so much fun! I see on Facebook that Peach learned how to water ski and Kate got up on a board! (Heart goes out to that fall Kate!) lol I love that we all are having some of the same experiences. Nick came with me back down to Florida for another week and we took a 2 day trip to the Keys. Needless to say it was a perfect time! AND I did some business down there! #workhardplayhard ;) Planning a trip to the Bahamas this upcoming weekend with my sister and mom.
Renting a 2 story 4 room place in Magnolia with 3 other girls this upcoming 2013 year! I cant wait to move in! From the porch you can see the water, and it is really quaint and dainty. lol Its weird investing in a place before I've seen it fully, but I trust these 3 girls apparently.
I MISS ALL OF YOU! I miss our daily catching up and conversations. I know we are all going to come back shaped by our experiences abroad or working at home and I cant wait to hear about it all :)
I hope I did this right... See ya'll soon!! <3 Laura

Sabbatical/Summer
Hey guys, Krystal here! Hope everyone is having a great summer and time off to enjoy and relax!
Just wanted to share a little about my time off since I haven't seen you guys in forever!
In the spring I took a city college class - Italian 2 - buonissimo! It was a little bit of a struggle at first just getting used to such a big school, such a change from Gordon; both people wise and work load wise. However, I'm now so grateful that I get to attend a school where people actually want to be at and with others who are willing to work hard! Overall it was a great experience and I'm hoping to use the language that I learned for when I study abroad to get my art minor.
I also contacted my old volleyball coach from when I was a baby in high school and somehow ended up assistant coaching the Men's frosh/soph team at my old high school. Go figure. So I guess I'm a coach now? I even got to sit in on some games. It was definitely a learning experience trying to keep 17 squirrelly guys in order - but they ended up respecting me more than the actual coach and I learned some valuable things.
Other than that - during the spring semester - I babysat a lot, learned how to cook better (for team dinners!), learned that I am lactose intolerant and can't really have any grains, and took some self defense classes... so if anyone needs protecting.... :) I was also really blessed to start most of my mornings doing devotions and having quiet time. It was something that was really great for me. I've read a lot of great books, both fun and classics, worked on my art portfolio, have been cleaning out all my stuff here, and spending some quality time with the family.
So that's a little bit of what I've been up to for the last 7 months - and the time has really flown by! I'm so grateful for this much needed rest even though I've missed all of your faces and can't wait to see you again :)
Hope that everyone is having great summers and staying safe while traveling!
love you all,
krystal
